Day 12 - Time is winding down....oh no!!!

Woke this morning and decided to stay home and chill because I hurt my knee at the beach yesterday...don't ask, ya'll know I'm always getting hurt!  LOL  So I just wanted to rest it and ice it and now it feels pretty good!

Gordon and the gang went out for a half day of service, I stayed home and did some travel agent business, which was well needed.  Gordon took this pic of a chicken he saw while he was out...we'll name him Clucky!!!

Gordon and Henry popped up at about 11:30 am, all sweaty because they walked home (ya'll remember that I told you that it gets to be about 5000 degrees at about that time?!??!)  But Gordon picked up some food from along side the road and was quite happy!  LOL

He had me screaming because he was talking to a man in the ministry and he stepped in a fire ant hive or nest or whatever it's called, and he felt something biting his legs!  He looked down and saw all of these ants on his legs and pants and he started dancing around trying to get the ants off...he was demonstrating and Henry and I were cracking up!  LOL

Gwen and Arlene then arrived and they looked well spent!  LOL

Because of the heat, Gordon tried to chill out a bit...

My knee was feeling better, so I busied myself doing laundry and cooking dinner.  Gwen ad Henry had to go to the Immigration office to receive their monthly stamp from the Belizean government.  So while I was cooking and cleaning, it kind of felt like this was our home!  I don't want to leave Belize!!!!

It's still hot, but we'll try not to complain...

Henry and Gwen was allowed to stay in the country and returned home...and since it started to cool off Gordon decided to go down to where some of the friends were playing soccer, so he and Henry headed out, while Gwen and I chillaxed!

All day I kept saying that I didn't want to go home!  Then I spoke to my parents and they told me about how cold it was in PA and that a snow storm is expected this weekend...NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!  I don't want to go home to that!

Gordon and I had a wonderful experience down here.  Just to meet so many of our brothers and sisters around the world...it's amazing to be apart of this worldwide brotherhood!

So we think we've decided on our future home....oh well!  Talk to you later!  LOL

Love you all!

  1. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience to Belize! I have been reading it daily. It's nice to hear how excited you are to take on this new avenue of service. Jehovah is truly blessing your efforts and prayers. It makes me more eager to find somewhere else to serve too. Maybe a trip to Belize will be in my future (wink wink). I can't wait to hear where you decide to call your new home.
